Making the album at Hallowed Halls
video by Artem Popov
We feel lucky to have recorded it at Hallowed Halls, in beautiful Portland, Oregon. We are also blessed to have worked so closely with, studio engineer, Mathew Thompson of Ivy League Recording. It's a rarity and a blessing to mesh so well with someone upon meeting them for the first time. Matt knew when to push, when to let go, and when to use his dry sense of humor to erupt us into laughter - all the while not moving his facial muscles an inch. We were very lucky to have been connected to Dana White of Specialized Mastering. Dana mastered the album in an audiophile cave with the lights low and eyes closed - obsessing over intricate detail the way only a true creative can.
A LITTLE BIT ABOUT US
Dream Wulf is four piece psychedelic rock band. We draw inspiration from a blend of alternative, stoner, psychedelic, dark dream, and bloom gloom rock and roll music. We are based out of Portland, OR.
Our band was born though a campfire joke in 2015. By founding members, John Villadelgado and Jessica Bahl. However the idea remained dormant until August 2017 in Austin, Texas. Where we (John and Jessica) recorded the demo All Things Unconsidered. The band, as it is known today, became fully operational in February of 2019. When bassist Kyla Maunakea and drummer Glenn Walters became established team members.
We have released our 7 song LP, All Things Unconsidered. The record contains remixed and remastered classics from the Austin TX recorded demo and 4 new songs. All Things Unconsidered was released December 20th - with a single released on October 31st 2019. All Things Unconsidered has just been released as a 140 gram 12" limited edition vinyl!
A DEEPER GLANCE AT THE BAND
John Villadelgado: Born in the Eastern mountains of the Philippines, John was adopted by family to the Ark- La- Tex region of the US (Texarkana). John integrates both Eastern modals and Texas blues to his compositions. He enjoys skateboarding with his dog, working on a vast range of musical compositions, and building homes and functional art though his Portland based contracting company, Kuya Build. John resonates with soundscapes, writing music to movies on mute, and listening to freak out music. He has been playing guitar since he was 12 years old.
Glenn Walters: Glenn grew up in Northern Arizona and moved to Portland in 2008. He started playing drums at 24 while attending school for music. He draws inspiration from the heavy rock, funk, and jazz genres and incorporates them in his riffs. He enjoys rock climbing, finishing carpentry, and petting his cat.
Kyla Maunakea: Born on East side of the Big Island, Kyla was born into a musical family. She began violin when she was 10 and switched to bass when she was 14. She played bass in her father's band, Bruddah Kuz. Playing bass for him inspired her to preform her own songs. She preformed in a myriad of musical projects, such as, Pissfitt and Miss Killa (formed identity). Kyla left the island in 2015 and moved to Portland for a change of pace. Kyla pulls creatively from reggae, punk rock, and the frequency the bass guitar emits. She enjoys experiencing music, eating fresh poke, and unplugging while going on adventures. She currently plays a headless bass.
Jessica Bahl: Born in Huntington Beach, California Jessica is the eldest sibling to her younger brother. Jessica could be found roaming for hours writing lyrics and humming melodies to herself. She moved to Portland Or, in 2014 following a hunch. She is inspired by movement, eyes, quantum physics, and well made rugs. She enjoys graphic design, serial killer documentaries, and watching life in slow motion. She, strives to convert her house into an arboretum.

"It feels like you’re swirling your hands in some hot sand, creating designs that are intricate and mesmerizing."
"What Portland quartet Dream Wulf understands better than much of the psych-rock rabble is that making spacey, freaked out noise doesn’t amount to much if you don’t have good songs to go with it. On the group’s latest album All Things Unconsidered, they bear that out with tunes that are replete with melody and a foundation of gritty blues that still seek to take you to higher planes of reality."
"Their sound goes much deeper and draws on musical foundations that drive harder and to much more musically profound depths"
"WE CAN'T STOP LISTENING."
"Vivid and captivating!"

"KEEP YOUR EYES ON DREAM WULF- BAND ON THE RISE!"
The LP, All Things Unconsidered, is a collection of work expressing the frustration and sorrow for all the world we love and live in. It is about the chaos that ensues us all, and therefore that ensues the world. We are without acknowledgement lost within the constraints and construct of time. It is said, that creativity lies within the eyes of a child. The album echos the desire to not loose that creativity, that is often stifled with age. Through out the album, lyrical and musical compositions mirror the push and pull of experiencing a society craving magic, all the while reveling the power for radical and creative change has always been our own hands. All Things Unconsidered, is planet positive and dares you to open personal prospective and perspective. The music plays with dark and light energies through the medium of frequency and lyricism.
The title of the album, All Things Unconsidered, describes the left behind, the subconscious thoughts and feelings that have been pushed aside and forgotten. The album itself dares to resurface those thoughts and pushes to challenge uncomfortable topics.
